What is Smart Match?

Smart Match is a keyword-based matching system that compares your CV Bank skills against active job postings. It is completely free and can be run at any time.

The system matches your skills (PHP, Excel, accounting, etc.) against job requirements and gives a 0–100% match score.

What is AI Match? How is it different from Smart Match?

AI Match is a deep analytics matching system powered by OpenAI GPT-4o-mini. Unlike Smart Match, it:

  • Considers experience, field, and context
  • Shows strengths and gaps for each job
  • Provides explanations in Azerbaijani
  • Requires 10 credits (free for PRO users)
What are CV Bank visibility modes?

When joining the CV Bank, you can choose:

  • Open — your name and contact info may be visible to companies (when show_contact is enabled)
  • Anonymous — only skills, city, and years of experience are shown. Name and email are hidden

Companies use a CV view limit from their plan to view your full CV.

How does the credit system work?

Credits are the currency for premium features:

  • AI Match: 10 credits
  • CV downloads (PDF, Word): varies by plan

Credits are added directly to your account. Check your balance in the Credits section of your dashboard.

What does a PRO subscription include?

With a PRO subscription:

  • AI Match is free (no credits spent)
  • Unlimited CV downloads
  • Access to all templates
  • Priority support

How do AI notifications work?

When your CV Bank profile is active and a new job with ≥70% match is posted:

  • You receive an in-app notification (bell icon)
  • You receive an email notification (can be disabled in settings)

Manage notification frequency in notification settings.

How do I join the CV Bank?

To join the CV Bank:

  • Go to the CV Bank page
  • Select one of your existing CVs as your primary CV
  • Choose a visibility mode (open / anonymous)
  • Click "Activate"

You can deactivate your CV Bank profile at any time.

What is the candidate shortlist?

The shortlist is a bookmarking system for CV Bank candidates you want to revisit. Shortlisted candidates are managed from the Shortlist page.

You can add private notes to each candidate and export to CSV.

When is a candidate's contact (email) visible?

A candidate's contact information is only visible when:

  • The candidate has set their visibility to Open
  • The candidate has enabled "Show contact info"

Candidates in anonymous mode never reveal any contact information — this is enforced at the database level.

How is the Smart Match score calculated?

Smart Match uses keyword-based matching:

  • The skills listed in your job posting are compared against the candidate's CV skills
  • The percentage of matching skills is given as a 0–100% score
  • If no skills are listed in the job, the score is based on years of experience
How do AI Match results appear in my company panel?

When a candidate runs AI Match and scores ≥70% for one of your jobs, an AI score is displayed for that candidate in your CV Bank view. You also receive an in-app notification.

AI Match scores appear in the CV Bank table alongside the Smart Match score.

Which plan gives access to the CV Bank?

CV Bank access is a paid company feature:

  • Free plan: No CV Bank access
  • Standard plan: Monthly CV view limit
  • PRO plan: Unlimited CV views

What is the GPA field in a student profile for?

GPA (Grade Point Average) shows the student's academic achievement. For verified students, GPA data:

  • Appears in the candidate profile during internship applications
  • Is used in the university analytics report
What does the university analytics panel show?

The analytics panel provides:

  • Student registration trends (monthly)
  • Application statistics — submitted / accepted
  • Top companies students apply to
  • Most popular job categories

What are internship programs for?

Universities can view internship programs in the Internships section. Students apply directly through the platform. The university panel allows tracking active internship applications.

What is the weekly digest email?

The weekly digest is an activity summary email sent to the university admin user each week. The email includes:

  • Number of newly registered students
  • Weekly application count
  • Accepted applications
  • Total verified student count

Manage digest settings in notification settings.

How do the account types differ?

JobCV has three account types:

  • Candidate — standard registration. Creates CVs, searches for jobs, uses Smart Match/AI Match
  • Company — company account. Posts jobs, accesses CV Bank, manages applications
  • University — student registration and analytics panel

A single user can have both a candidate and a company account.

What is the company registration process?

To create a company account:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Fill in the company registration form
  3. Admin review is conducted (usually 1–2 business days)
  4. After approval, you get full access to company features
What is the university registration process?

To create a university account:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Fill in the university registration form
  3. Admin review is conducted
  4. After approval, you gain access to the student management panel
How is my data protected?

Data privacy is a core priority at JobCV:

  • Anonymous CV Bank candidates' names/emails are never exposed to companies — this is enforced at the database level
  • CV view actions are stored in an audit log
  • You can delete your account at any time (Dashboard → Account Settings)
How do I turn off AI notifications?

To disable notifications, go to the settings page for your account type:

Email and in-app notifications can be disabled independently.
